The addition of a new 2017 Mitsubishi Montero are some striking news which are coming from the Japanese automaker’s production line. This model is going to be released next year and has been announced as already a great acquisition in the mid-sized SUV segment. Using the design cues from this concept the Mitsubishi Montero managed to bring in a lot of design cues that are both interesting and fashionable and the most amount of changes are see in the front end of the car.

The front side of the 2017 Mitsubishi Montero is adding sloping look to the front which is a change compared to the previous models. The grille has been changed and will also feature a Mitsubishi logo matted in the front end of it. The lights have also been upgraded and we are going to feature a car which is adding better lighting capabilities that are going to make better fears and options for the car while driving at night. The cooling of the engine and the brakes is also an important features so we see some air intakes on the front side of the car positioned in the lower front end.

The rear end has also seen some changes but not as much as the front of the car did. The new drivetrain will use i-MiEV technology and the car also comes with a plug-in hybrid power train for better and lengthier performance. The gasoline engine that is going to be used is the 3.0 liter V6 engine which is going to be combined with the electronic one that is powered by lithium-ion battery  and controlled by an eight speed automatic transmission. The car also has a four-wheel driving system  and the performance states that it can make 385 pound feet and a horsepower of 415. This also gives it a great 0-60 mph acceleration performance allowing it to make it under 7 seconds.

Release date and price

The great news about the 2017 Mitsubishi Montero is that it is going to be released this year but it will be offered only in Japan fist. The US release is at least a year away and we are going to be lucky if we get it by the end of 2017. By then the estimated price for the latest Montero should be around $49, 000..
